Amazing video I have seen quite a few exercise CD (aerobic, yoga, dance, kids, weights etc) but this was by far the best CD I have ever seen in terms of clearly presenting the exercises. The split camera angle was so helpful beyond words. Gin was very clear on her descriptions of the exercises in a very straightforward and logical way, and she was encouraging without being silly or getting distracted. By far, the best training CD I've ever seen. Great job Gin Miller. Karen |

Great I love this workout. Its a great workout and there is not jumping or getting on the floor which is the park that that love and I still feel like I am getting a really good workout. The fact the the bell is filled with sand does not bother me at all. I can feel the weight shifting but it does not affect the workout at all. Alice |

A fast way to get in shape Admittedly, it may seem too early for me to review the Empower Kettlebell & DVD I received yesterday. However, based on past workout purchases, and experiences, I believe this one's a keeper. I went for the 10-pound Kettlebell, and feel this is a good choice. It comes with a DVD with three levels of workouts, starting with one for beginners such as myself. It also includes warmup and cool-down routines, which are highly recommended before and after each workout respectively. I started today, and after just one workout, I can already feel my core, leg, and arm muscles reacting to workout #1. While I have a little trouble with the 10-pound weight for some of the curl exercises, I modify the exercises to accommodate my lack of strength, and believe the 10-pound bell was a good choice because it allows me more room to grow -- which will be marked by my eliminating the need for modifications before moving on to the second workout. In facing my 61st birthday, I'm active, and want to stay that way. This is why I'm determined to get in the best shape of my life (even in my early years, I've never been big on exercise). I started a month ago by purchasing a pair of Skecher Shape-ups, and taking brisk walks with my dogs each morning. To break the monotony, I purchased an MP3 player, and download books from the library. The time flies by! I added resistance weeks ago with a trip to the gym, intent on going and working out every other day. Then reality hit. It took too long to get dressed, get my walk in, and then go to the gym, work out, come home and clean up. My mornings were shot. So I needed another way to achieve my goal. A friend told me about Kettlebells. Now, after just one short Kettlebell workout, I've accomplished as much as when using several machines at the gym. The best part is it's fast. I can hop out of bed, and get it done quickly. Based on numerous past workout experiences and money wasted on a variety of machines and other programs and gimmicks, I'm convinced this is what I've been searching for. I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of starting to get in shape, and wanting fast results. If you're new to working with weights, which I am not, you might want to start with the Empower 5-Pound KettleBell with DVD, and then work your way up to heavier Kettlebells. Awsome I love It. After trying this the first time, every muscle I had hurt. I let my family and friends try it, and they too felt the after effect. This is awesome. Great exercise. BookNut "Nancy" |

Chicken;shame on me I have only slung this item a few times. I have tennis elbow and am a real chicken to get down to business. Wish someone could enlighten me on what further damage or help this may give my joints when I do decide to really work. Think the weight is just right for a 60 year old. Barbara Speir |

Love my kettle bells! I love both the 10-lb and the 15-lb - I can use them together or separately, and in terms of space, it is incredibly convenient to store them and work out with them. I also bought the "Goddess" DVD, which at first, I did not consider, b/c the title sort of put me off, but it's pretty hard core, and its exactly what a marathoner-in-training like me needs. Besides, the instructor is excellent, she knows what she's talking about and you just can't go wrong with this women's workout mentored by Pavel Tsatsouline! Be ready to feel the pain, but oh, does it take years off of your body!sp S. Peshkoff "sp" |

Love it! Love it! Love it! Great Beginner Workout for all ages. I just turned 61, and have put too much weight over the past few years. I've been walking daily, and going to the gym with little results. I've had my Empower Kettlebell with Gin's DVD workouts for a little more than 3 weeks, and can't say enough good things about it. I'm hooked! While this particular set may not be appropriate for hard-core athletes or experienced "Kettlebellers," I find this an ideal way to get into Kettlebells. From my first workout, I felt the muscles changing throughout my entire body. No more do I need to move from machine to machine, and spend more than an hour at the gym. With Kettlebells, and get the speedy results someone like me needs to keep motivated. Within three weeks, I lost five pounds, and a total of 5 inches -- mostly in my waist and hips. I started with the Empower 10-Pound Kettlebell with DVD, which worked well for most exercises. But I later needed to purchase a 5 lb. Kettlebell for the level 2 workouts that required more shoulder strength. I've ust started level 3. You'll never be bored because there are tons of Kettlebell workouts available to help you progress. I like the Empower Kettlebells so much, I sent a set to my older sister for her birthday. I have no doubt that she'll be happy with this fun and convenient program. Great purchase! The DVD is excellent -- the trainer focuses on technique and gives you a full workout with only 5 lbs. The Kettlebell is more fun than a medicine ball or weights and really works your core. Todnprincess |

fun, fun, fun I was interested in trying kettleballs, but wanted to make sure I was using them correctly. The DVD that comes with this is great. It has a nice warm up, three exercise segments (I've only done Workout 1 so far) and a cool down segment. The emphasis is on safety and going at your own pace. I have no problem recommending this. jn "photo cook" |

Kettlebell workout While I was sore the first time I used the kettlebell and did two workouts the second time I used it I felt fine. I think it's a relatively easy and comfortable workout for those days when you need a 20 minute workout and the weather too nasty, hot or wet to be outdoors. L. Gray |

Good Start The kettle bell and DVD are very easy to use. The instructions are clear and easy to follow for beginners. The first week is difficult for non active people, but stick with it and the second week is a breeze. Be sure to space out your exercise three times a week so that your body has time to recover and repair muscle tissue. There is no need to do more. Soon you'll be craving a longer or more intense workout. Not only will you feel better and more fit, but your muscles will be firmer and stronger. christine moyer |

Great beginners kettlebell Bought it for my wife and she loves it. Good weight for a beginner to start with. Best price I could find, and got good reviews. Wife says DVD is great at explaining the correct grips, positioning, and moves. Bell handle is curved enough so that knuckles don't scrape top of it as they do with some. Product delivery was just a little slow but acceptable. Would buy this brand and from this vendor again. S. Thomas |

I love my kettlebell! I am not an exercise freak, and would just as soon sit on the couch eating bon-bons instead of work up a sweat in any manner. But I LOVE my kettlebell! It's so easy to use, yet it gives a great total body workout. I feel it so much better than I did with just hand weights. I normally don't like exercise DVDs, but this is so easy to follow. The moves are smooth and easy, yet I really feel it in my core the next day...and sometimes 2 or 3 days! I think it has even improved my posture, and, at only 5', I need all the help I can get! For someone who really doesn't LOVE to exercise, but does it because I know I NEED to in order to have a healthy life, this is the best weight & exercise DVD I have ever purchased. The different workouts run from 9 - 15 minutes, so I can squeeze one in even on my busiest days. I'm looking forward to when I'll be able to move up to the 10# kettlebell. It's easy on my knees and other joints, stretches all my large muscles, and strengthened my core after only the first use. I don't think I'll ever give up using my kettlebell. J. Wildeman |

Comfortable Grip Kettlebell training gets results! Give it a try if you are looking to change up a traditional workout. DVD is fabulous...even if you have not used kettlebells before you will be able to do a great workout with the DVD. The material is much nicer on the hands than cast iron and the hand grip allows you enough room to do exercised with 2 hands too. Great fun and quick results. Lovin life "EB" |
